Texas A&M football coach Kevin Sumlin recently received a racist letter from a fan calling for him to leave the program, and university officials are working to track down the individual who wrote it.

On Thursday night, Texas A&M president Michael Young and athletic director Scott Woodward called the letter “disgusting and threatening” and vowed to bring the author of it to justice.

Sumlin’s wife shared a photo of the letter on Twitter. In it, the Aggies coach was called the N-word and told to leave the team “or else.”

Texas A&M fans are upset with two straight seasons that ended in bowl losses and then watching their team blow a 44-10 lead in its opening game this year. Even one school regent is calling for Sumlin to be fired, but racist fan mail like the letter Sumlin’s family received is despicable.
